about
One day, an old woman found a branch in the forest, and on it hung a moth cocoon. The old woman could see the moth was just about to emerge. Higher in the tree, thousands of other cocoons hung, all getting ready to escape to the sky.
The old woman, generous and kind, took a needle from her bag, and carefully pried open a small opening in the cocoon, so the moth could more easily escape. With little effort, it was free, long before its brothers, who struggled, nearly to death, to free themselves of their silken prisons.
soon all the moths would emerge, and with as a slight gust of wind rustled the branches and leaves of the forest, the moths who could make it out of their cocoons, flew into the air, in a glorious cloud of violet.
but not the old womans moth, who stayed perched on the branch, and, whose wings were not strengthened by struggle, forever chained to the ground, and doomed to death, by kindness.
